New lens

My birthday was last week and with my birthday money I got a new lens for my camera! It is going to take some really great pictures. The close up shots I can get with it are far better than my other lens. I was playing around with both it and photoshop today. I just wanted to show you these pictures:

Barefoot sandals

I ordered "barefoot sandals" for Cameron last week. Her feet are SO tiny they don't fit into any normal shoes yet. Even newborn shoes are a tad bit big. Anything else just completely falls off. So I thought these would be cute for summer!

They are so adorable! I just love how they look with her tiny feet and her chunky little legs!

And I took more pictures of her playing hard in her activity center. She is drooling like a mad woman, as she always does when she is focusing really hard on something.

And my big girl is sitting better and better every day!!

Well I pulled it out the other day and tried it on Cameron just for fun.

The leaning tower of pisa

Well... the leaning tower of Cameron I should say. First and foremost, we have a sitter!!! It is so exciting to be able to sit Cameron up! She has been trying to lean forward when propped up for quite a while now but her balance was not good enough for her to be able to sit without support. Today for the first time though, she leaned forward and stayed that way!! She's been sitting up for me all day (little bits at a time). She is getting better at it but is still quite the leaner :)

In the last one she is on her way to plopping over on the couch. But that's we've been practicing on soft surfaces!

We have a trouble maker already

Cameron never sits in her bumbo for very long, she just doesn't like it very much so I only put her in it when I need to use the bathroom or start a load of laundry or something. Apparently I put her too close to the trash can the other day and she got bored. Here are the (cute) results:

I love the last two pictures. She just looks SO guilty, it's priceless!

Another solids update

Cameron is doing awesome with solids!! It was a slow start but she has really taken to it now. The past 4 or 5 days she has eaten a full 2 ounces! She would have eaten more but we ran out of what I had thawed for her. So far she loves sweet peas, sweet potatoes, pears, and apples. I think apples are her favorite, she would kind of squeal in between bites like "come on mom, you aren't spooning this stuff into my mouth fast enough!" I'm still making all of her baby food myself and it is super fun. I did make her some avocado and that did not sit well with her. All of the other foods I've given her she has either liked or just spit out. Not the avocado. The second the food hit her tongue she started gagging so hard and ended up throwing up. I was so surprised by that reaction, I thought it must be a fluke since babies can have some gagging issues when they are first learning how to eat solids. I tried a second bite and the exact same thing happened, as soon as she tasted the avocado she gagged until she threw up. So no avocado for Cameron. Let me tell you, this girl knows what she wants and what she doesn't want. She has had a very strong will from the beginning and it's only getting stronger ;) I introduced another new thing to her, a mesh teether/feeder. It is a mesh sack that you can put whole fruit in and let the baby suck on. Cameron loves it!!! Of course I had to take a photo shoot of her first experience. So far I have only put pears in it and boy does she love to suck all the juice out! Here is her and her mesh feeder!
